“My Symphony No. 2 is in 4 movements (30 minutes). Composed during the pandemic, I found myself yearning toward hope and optimism in both the music and lyrics. The piece emerged in an organic free-form style, interweaving and developing themes. I went with it and embraced all its non-traditional approaches to form. The work feels very theatrical to me as if the red curtain rises from a grand stage right from bar 1.”
